In various ways, the Nordic Council of Ministers supports many different projects and activities aimed at compulsory schools and upper secondary schools. The content and themes of these projects vary from eating habits and mathematics to film and language. The Nordic Schoolnet contributes to many of these, for example by making them accessible on the website. KappAbel, a Nordic mathematical contests originating from Norway. Whole classes compete against other classes and create projects for the Nordic finale.
Nordicplate, which is about food in a broad sense, the content of food, dishes, food production and so on. Nordisk filmpakke, which contains six Nordic films combined with online teaching material. All the films are subtitled in Danish, Swedish or Norwegian. Nordspråk, which is a collaborative organisation for teachers of Nordic languages as a mother tongue, neighbouring languages or Nordic languages as foreign languages. NordBas, which contains summaries and overviews of research results regarding language development and teaching in and around mother tongues and bilingualism. Nordiska teman, whose aim is to strengthen the Nordic identity and Nordic knowledge through education. The Nordic course may also be used in partnership with schools in other countries and be made available to students across Europe. In this way, knowledge about the Nordic region and the Nordic identity will also be spread beyond our Nordic borders. |
